Centre of Excellence for Lessons Learned

Within international policy and practitioner circles, the need for a more sophisticated approach to lesson learning has been expressed repeatedly. The team at Cranfield has developed a sophisticated methodology supporting Lessons Learned analysis – one that places almost as much emphasis on the context as the actual lesson itself.

Cranfield University’s campus at the UK Defence Academy enables strategic reach to a large number of programme managers and operators returning from a range of operational missions. The in-country representatives on the Cranfield team also enable these lessons to benefit from the views of the recipient populations and the indigenous programme staff.
